The HostBuddy File Manager
A File Manager crammed with each of the instruments that you might want
Used as FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software substitutes, online file management tools have always been sluggish and poor in features. However, using the File Manager integrated in the HostBuddy Web Control Panel, you won’t only employ a quick, responsive and easy–to–work–with file administration interface, but also a software tool that will make a third party FTP program unneeded. Consider a few of the functions that we have built–into our File Manager.
Drag ’n’ drop file uploads
The easiest approach to upload data files
Importing data files with an FTP client is an obsolete and really insecure way of relocating data files from your personal computer to a web server. That’s why, we have included drag’n’drop file publish support in the File Manager. Simply pull the files that you need to add from your desktop computer into your browser and they’ll begin to publish in your hosting account over a secure SSL connection.
You don’t have to mount any additional software package, browser plug–ins or apps. The drag & drop feature performs just as well on Windows, Linux or Mac.
Right–click context menus
Handle all files with only a click of the mouse
A large number of File Managers list all the activities that one can conduct within a file or folder on the top of the page. We feel that this isn’t intuitive enough. Thanks to the File Manager, you can get all of the file administration options at the time you right–click a file or directory. This method is also applicable for many different files/folders.
You can rename, copy, move, download, edit, preview, archive, unarchive and delete every file or directory you decide on with just a click of the mouse.
Archive/Unarchive files
Archive or extract archive files within seconds
As opposed to most file management interfaces as well as FTP clients, the HostBuddy Web Control Panel boasts an option to archive/unarchive files much more speedily. It is really straightforward. To get a folder reduced to a small size, all you need to do is pick it and then click the Compress button. To unwrap the belongings of an archived folder within your hosting account, pick it and click on the Extract button. The File Manager uses a range of file extensions, which include .ZIP, .RAR and .TAR.GZ.
